Introduction

Instruō makes Eurorack modules in Glasgow, Scotland. Founder Jason H. J. Lim is a composer and instrument designer who grew the brand as a side project from 2015 and unveiled its first module, Troika, in September 2016. Instruō was also his artist name.

Its signature Eurorack products include the Cš-L complex oscillator, arbhar granular processor and Lúbadh dual looper. In 2025 it released Seashell, its first desktop semi-modular instrument. Seashell combines an analog oscillator, wavefolder and filter with digital control, USB audio/MIDI and a plugin. It is a standalone instrument, not a module with a detachable panel for rack mounting.

The starting point is to build instruments the founder wants to use. Hands-on analog circuitry is balanced with studio workflows that need presets and DAW connectivity.

Seashell is a lucky draw prize at MODULARHABIT 2026.
