Jinwoo & Moruka

Jinwoo & Moruka focus on the ‘gap’ that opens between states rather than on states that are clearly divided. In sound, they work with the wavering that arises as one quality shifts into another while different qualities coexist, and with moments when senses overlap and become hard to define as any single thing. For them, ambiguity is not a state to be resolved or made clear. It is closer to a fluid state in which many possibilities can exist together. Through a process of mixing and diverging within each other's different worlds, the two create gaps where familiar order loses its force. In those gaps, sound does not choose one side. Holding different qualities at once, it keeps changing shape and remains as a sensation that cannot easily be named.
